Current Newsletter

Hello,

This is a short newsletter that you requested to be sent. You may reply to this message with "Remove" if you wish to be removed from our mailing list.

We have added a professional quality message board to our website! Please check it out linked from our Website at www.commitment-ceremonies.com. We want you to come post messages in a lesbian and gay friendly environment, about the WNBA, Women's Sports, Commitment Ceremonies, and Politics. The recent WNBA playoffs provoked us into doing this, as we feel quite strongly that Women's Sports promote the cause of women... or they should, at least.

Appendix to above info: We have decided to give the new message community a life, and a URL of its own. You may now find it at www.DykeNet.net. We have dubbed the community as DykeNet.net, and it will include these forums: WNBA and Women's Sport, Commitment Ceremonies, General Lesbian, General Gay, Politics, and Polls.

There's lots of stuff going on at our website, so come back and visit occasionally. We have commitment ceremony (gay & lesbian wedding) vendors, businesses for the most part run by gays and lesbians, or those business catering to us. There is a Top 5 Ranking list free to vendors. There is a store of items and links that we have hand selected for you. Many of these items apply to weddings, or are of interest to the lesbian and gay community. And of course our great new message board community, plus more great stuff. Ours goals are to provide an affordable venue for businesses catering to gay and lesbian weddings, to promote Lesbian & Gay Weddings Worldwide thereby attempting to make gay & lesbian weddings an everyday, accepted thing in the general society, & to add pride to our community. We've been online since 2000, and we'll be there for the long haul, so please come by any time... you're welcome.

9-18-93: How about the Shock!? Champions of the Women's National Basketball Association(WNBA)! The Detroit Shock defeated the LA Sparks 2-1 in the Championship series, and we couldn't be more pleased. It was an outstanding and exciting game to watch. A brand new champion, and it's not LA or Houston. We basically love all the WNBA teams but LA and Houston have been the only national champions in the entire 7 years that the WNBA has been in existance. It was time for a new champion. LA couldn't win this year with all their flagrant fouls and trash talk, Detroit won with talent, youth, hard work, and desire... not by clubbing the other team to death. If you'd like to find out more about this professional women's sports league, visit WNBA.COM. We think they're really promoting Women in a very positive way that will affect the entire society, both gay and straight. We love to watch those buffed women play! They're beautiful! And... we love how much the quality of basketball play has progressed quickly over 7 years. Just give those H.S. and College women a reason to work hard, a pro league to aspire to, and you get some great Women's Basketball! They're actually more fun to watch than the NBA men because the action moves faster and more fluidly with the women. Give them a try, go to a game, it's worth it, and they need our support, both in attendance numbers, and in ticket sales. The ticket prices are much more affordable than in pro men's sports events also.
